Making your own baby food is easy! Here is a simple list of how to get started:
- Double Boiler or Steamer - to cook fruits/veggies
- A good set of knives
- A set of silicon spatulas (to scrape the food processor, you don't want to waste any of the good stuff)
- Food Processor - How often you plan on cooking (every day vs every other day) and how many kids you are cooking for depends on how many cups you need for your food processor. For instance, if you want to cook every other day, I would recommend getting a larger food processor (which is helpful when they start eating more); an eight cup should be sufficient. An eight cup processor will also be enough if you have triplets (like me) and cook the food fresh every day. As far as the brand, there is no need to get a fancy machine! I got my processor from Wal-Mart 5 years ago (before babies) and it survived me using it every day for 7 months! If you plan on cooking daily and have one kid, you can get away with the small processor (3 cups).
- 2-4 bpa free regular ice cube trays
